From an Arizona newspaper on 2/1: "Quarterback Sherdrick Bonner joins the other face of the Rattlers, receiver/linebacker Hunkie Cooper, on injured reserve after his right knee didn't show any signs of improving Tuesday.

Bonner suffered a deep bone bruise on his knee after taking a hit in the final quarter Friday at Grand Rapids.

There is no structural damage to the knee. He will be out at least two weeks, as long as four."

New starting QB-Joe Germaine (6-2, 220, The Ohio State U) appeared in Q4 of last week’s win over GR. He completed 3-3 for 35 yds and a td. Played in 4 games for the Rattlers last season, completing 16-29 for 188 yards, five touchdowns and one int.

Olddog--

Looks like my Arizona under 10 wins looks a bit nicer. However, Bonner will likely be out 2-3 games (since I believe, if memory serves, once you go on IR, you HAVE to sit out either 2 or 3 weeks... I'll try finding the exact ruling on that later). This means plenty of time for that team to pick it up. Remember that Joe Germaine has played in pro-style systems before, and is not brand new to the Arizona system either. He's played as a backup for I believe 3 years in the system, and for a backup, that's a long time in one place. I don't think the line should have moved in that Predators game THAT much. Though by Vegas' standards the game should be Preds -2.5, I believe that the game should be a pick 'em. Orlando has this tendency of taking massive dumps against good teams when they have a reason to underachieve.
